You open the cabinet, and there is the goblet, still in one piece, completely unharmed and still filled with liquid. There is no way to pull the chain out of the cabinet- it is looped around the glass inside.Īfter telling the tale of Houdini's talent for escaping any chains, you suddenly pull the ends of the chain- and the chain passes right through the stem of the glass and comes free!
The goblet is secured inside the case and the door is secured, with the ends of the chain sticking out through a small hole in the cabinet door and padlocked together. Wrap the chain around the stem of the cut-glass goblet and place the shackled goblet into the solid wood cabinet. This is the fascinating "Chinese Goblet" illusion with a Houdini theme!
The cabinet is now made of pine, and looks like the on in the PRODUCT PHOTO, not like the one in the demo, but it works exactly the same as you see in the demo.Įveryone loves hearing stories about Houdini!
